Privacy Policy

Land a Job ("we," "us," "our") helps job-seekers automate parts of their job search. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your rights. Questions? help@landajob.ceo.

1. What we collect

  • Account: name, email, password (hashed), phone, location.
  • Career: resume content, target role, work authorization status, professional links you provide.
  • Activity: jobs you interact with, applications submitted on your behalf, communications sent through your connected accounts.
  • Optional demographic data: stored only with your explicit consent. Default is "decline to answer."
  • Billing: subscription status only. Card details are handled directly by our payment processor; we never see them.
  • Usage: page views and product interactions for service improvement.

2. How we use it

  • Operate the Service on your behalf — submit applications, send communications you've authorized, surface relevant jobs.
  • Maintain your account and provide support.
  • Process subscription payments.
  • Improve the product through aggregated, non-identifying analytics.
  • Comply with applicable law.

We do not sell your data. We do not use it for advertising. We do not train AI models on it.

3. Google API Services — Limited Use disclosure

Land a Job's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

We use the gmail.send scope to send communications you have explicitly authorized, and the gmail.readonly scope solely to detect replies to those communications so the Service can stop further sends. We do not read unrelated email content. We do not transfer Google user data to others except (a) when you explicitly consent, (b) for security reasons, or (c) to comply with applicable law. We do not use Google user data for advertising or to train machine learning models. Human access to Google user data is limited to security investigations and legal compliance.

4. Service providers

We engage third-party service providers to deliver the Service. Categories include:

  • Cloud hosting and infrastructure
  • Database and authentication
  • Payment processing
  • Email delivery (transactional)
  • Product analytics
  • AI processing for content generation

Each provider is bound by a data processing agreement and may only use your data to deliver services to us. We share only what is necessary for each function. We do not sell, rent, or license your personal data to anyone for any reason.

5. Your rights

  • Access: request a copy of your data.
  • Deletion: permanently delete your account and associated data from inside the dashboard, or by emailing us.
  • Correction: update inaccurate data anytime.
  • Disconnect Google: revoke our access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
  • Opt out of analytics: contact us.
  • EU/UK/CA users: additional rights under GDPR, UK GDPR, and CCPA — contact us to exercise them.

6. Retention

We retain your data while your account is active. After deletion, we permanently remove it within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g. financial records).

7. Security

We use industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest. Sensitive credentials are encrypted before storage. No system is perfectly secure, but we treat your data as we would our own.

8. Children

The Service is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

9. International transfers

Your data may be processed in the United States or other jurisdictions where our service providers operate. By using the Service, you consent to such transfers.

10. Changes

Material changes to this policy will be communicated via email at least 14 days before they take effect.
